ABOUT CONNEXIONS

The Habilitas Foundation, through the generous support of the David Aronson memorial fund, is proud to support the Connexions program.

Connexions facilitates members’ access to social and educational content on a virtual platform. This inclusive online community is a window to a world beyond physical barriers.

It enables members to participate in engaging activities and fosters meaningful relationships, all of which enhance their quality of life.

Meet Our Team

Polly graduated from Concordia University in Sociology. She is a mom to an active boy and a snobby cat. In her spare time she loves to make jewelry.  Connexions is very special to her because she joined a community where she and fellow members venture into different topics, have insightful discussions and share a lot of laughs. She believes everyone should have access to information, services and activities, regardless of any challenges life brings their way!

Kayla graduated from Special Care Counselling and has been working in this field for more than 8 years. She loves anything nature related, especially house plants and collecting insects. Kayla always tries to make people feel included with her quirky sense of humor!

The smiley fairy, Jay, loves cats, pink and everything that is sparkly! In 2018, she fell in love with Camp Massawippi and all of its amazing people. She now hopes to bring some of that magic (and lots and lots of laughter) in her zooms!

At first glance, Anouck seems quite human, but the reality is different… This extraterrestrial amphibian came to Earth with the mission to mix chips and candy without shame! However, if she stays on your planet, it’s because, 3 years ago, she fell in love with Camp Massawippi and its campers. Come and meet her on zoom, maybe she’ll share her recipes with you!

Ethan studied in the digital media field so he is a technology expert! You’ll see his face from time to time, but he mostly works in the background, making sure everything runs smoothly.

Meet Olivier – He’s fun, passionate about people, and loves to create content for you! He’s not your average guy and is always ready with a joke. Olivier is great at making connections and bringing people together. From Camp Massawippi and now on Connexions, Olivier will always make you laugh and remind you to enjoy life. Some say he’s from another planet…

Breezey is perusing the field of special care counselling. She loves to make people laugh and feel good about themselves. When not participating in a Connexions activity, you can find her walking barefoot in her garden, or dancing in the rain. She appreciates the opportunity to share her creative thinking, hobbies and enthusiasm with everyone. She is especially excited to learn not only with you, but from all of you!

This is Julie. She is a Recreational Program Technician at Action Centre. She also animates online courses and her favorite topics are arts and nature! She hopes to encourage interactions between members and create activities that people will enjoy.
